Friday, September 30, 2011 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.

Yesterday was not my day. I had an unpleasent experience with a colleague whose rigid attitude really got me. That spoiled my day. Actuallty there was somebody else pulling strings in the background, though. Today at home killed a centipede with the help of our cats. It has gottne so hot and humid. That is why that one showed up. I hate centipedes. Who loves them? Today was a full day working all the time till I headed back home.

At work so busy all the time I even had little time to go wash my hands after teaching three classes in a row. What a hectic day! There were a couple of unthinkable cases, too, as is often the case with those who come at the last minute. Will input the data tomorrow. No time to do that today.

Tuesday, September 27, 2011 Fair

About this time last year I began to attend a series of Chinese lessons every week for two months. Today I began to attend the same course by the same teacher. However, there were only 14 students this time-less than half compared with last year. Today, hearing the instructor speaks Korean as well, I talked to her in Korean. She speaks good Korean, too.

Monday, September 26, 2011 Cloudy

Waited for two students. One did not show up, and the other came and took her makeup. One sloppy one handed in her three 1st-term English Treports, two of wihich were no good. Yesterday I just took it easy all day at home. As a result, I gained some weight. Too bad.

Saturday, September 24, 2011 Fair

Visited my father's grave and then went to my mother's place, giving her a STEPWELL, a COMBI product, and a Tamesite-Gatten book. My wife suggested we take our DVD player with us. It was a good idea. We played the Tameshite-Gatten DVD and presented to my mother how this STEPWELL is used. Her understanding was so great that she seemed to be interested in using it. We deserve a rebate from COMBI.

Friday, September 23, 2011 Fair

The temperature dropped all of a sudden. As the saying goes, heat and cold last only until the equinox. Put away the electric fan. Today did the walking and the STEPWELL exercise only. Yesterday at work worked as planned. A couple of students came for a makeup or help. The new English carriculum was discussed among the English teachers today. We may be creating such subjects as Comprehensive Basic English and Comprehesive Advanced English.

Wednesday, September 21, 2011 Rainy and cloudy.

Typhoon No.15 accounted for the closing of school today. However, some students came to schoo in spite of the storm warning. I took care of an English Tstudent, too, helping her with her reports. Also I corrrected over ten reports. There was a call asking me to take part in a ten-session course in basic Chinese-the same one as I did last year. I said yes over the phone this morning.

Tuesday, September 20, 2011 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.

The Korean language school's last day of this term. The final I did last week had one misspelling-such an easy work. I could not have misspelled such an simple word. What a shame! Checked out some books on the way home. I bought five boothbrushes at Tenroku Shopping Street. Typhoon No. 15 will be over here in my district tomorrow morning. It will bring lots of rain, which is not good for the debris dam in Wakayama Prefecture.

Monday, September 19, 2011 Fair

Drove out to shop for daily necesssities with my wife. While in the car, discussed our future-after-retirement plan( imminent). We need to dispose of plenty of stuff before our boides are disposed of, that is, before we die. On the way home, bought takoyaki. Ate it over beer. Watched all the remaining recordings of the dramas. It being a holiday, Respect-for-the Aged Day, by and large relaxed at home all day. Typhoon No. 15 coming this way. The weather is unstable. Wakayama's typhoon-made dam is at risk.

Sunday, September 18, 2011 Fair

There was a fire drill at school. I was in charge. Four or five fire fighters came over. One of them went to Tohoku right after the 311 disaster there, rescuing people and looking for the dead or injured. He talked about his experiences there. How helpless human beings are one Mother Nature rages like that. Also it is better safe than sorry. A big earthquake is sure to hit the Kinki Area. I need to be prepared. I will be talking about that with my family.

Saturday, September 17, 2011 Cloudy.

Went to the English conversation school, where I spent two hours or so speaking in English with some other people. It began to rain hard when I was going to go home, so took shelter at the school., while my wife was on her way to get me an umbrella. The shower became less intense, and I left there and met my wife halfway back home. We bought something to eat and went back home together. I acted according to the weather forecast on the Internet. However, I was caught in a shower. I should have trusted my seixth sense. I will believe in my instinct.

Friday, September 16, 2011 Cloudy, occasionally rainy.

Solved the Super Crossword firtst thing in the morning. Therefore, no time to take a walk. At work checked over 40 reports. It takes about an hour to check a dozen. Got so exhausted. Took care of some kids and a couple of phone calls from outside. Today's humidity really got me, too. A full day. Hence fatigue.Today was given something to eat by one of the home econ teachers. This teacher was passing that out to some teachers. I was lucky enough to be one of them. Even this kind of thing softens the atmosphere of the workplace. I will be doing something as such a softener next week.

Thursday, September 15, 2011 Fair and hot.

Another hot day. Took a couple of hours off and came home. Called my mother for the first time in many days. She did not sound cheerful, for she had a toothache. I have some books to read tonight, but I do not feel like doing anything.

Wednesday, September 14, 2011 Fair but so muggy.

Today's weather has been just unbearbably hot and humid. In this terrible weather, worked to the full. What a cruel working condition! A hell of a place. I almost zoned out. Today's world is a dystopia-the opposite of Utopia. Politicians do little. People are fed up with what they say-all over the world. What a fragile world this is! So is life.

Tuesday, September 13, 2011 Fair

I was going to have a final in the Korean classroom, but I did not feel like studying for it this morning. I just slept and slept. Strangely enough, I think I got full marks anyway. One more class left for this term.

Monday, September 12, 2011 Fair

Another muggy day. So tiring. Anyway taught two English Tclasses-so much to cover and not enough time for that. Too bad. By then almost ran out of energy, so decided not to overwork myself. However, students came over as usual, asking questions and requesting this and that.

Sunday, September 11, 2011 Cloudy and hot.

Made prepartions for the fire drills on September 18 and October 5-what to say over the PA(up to the clerk), whether the microphone works( turned out to be out of odredr. May use the megaphone types), called the fire station, etc. Had an English study session and finished reading two library books and returned them late at night. Handed in the personnel -related papers. Yesterday took it easy almost all day, eating and drinking a lot. Drink, eat and be merry...

Friday, September 9, 2011 Cloudy

A rather leisurely day. It was, however, so hot as if summer were back. Took it easy and read a lot. The book I am reading now turned out to be very good. Its title is "Why We Do What We Do." Took care of some miscallaneous jobs as well. Yesterday, too, I worked my own way as planned although I kept busy. There was an English teachers' meeting about the new curriculum. I was not interested. I even forgot how to spell "curriculum."

Wednesday, September 7, 2011 Cloudy

As busy as a bee as usual, teaching four classes in a row. Then ate supper and prepared for my next two classes. I ran out of time by then. Spent a little time reading a book on the way home on the trains. Did some shopping at the usual supermarket. Another full day. Back home welcomed by our younger cat.

Tuesday, September 6, 2011 Cloudy

A substitute holiday for me. Went to the Korean language school as usual. On the way there listened to the CD for the first time in many days in preparation for the lesson. That did work. I had long forgotten about doing it. Yesterday was a full day at work-no time to catch my breath.

Sunday, September 4, 2011 Cloudy

I left my glasses at home, so I had some trouble reading at work today. I had a lot of things to do but accomplished only half of them at the end of the day. Anyway I worked my own way. On the way home, had to buy something for supper because I got a text from my wife asking me to do so. Tomorrow will be a busy day. I will have to take care of three classes in a row.

Saturday, September 3, 2011 Rainy and windy.

Tyyphoon No. 12 is currently moving up north at a snail's pace. It has an extensive area under its influence. This morning went to the English conversation school and spent a couple of hours there. On the way home bought okonomiyaki for lunch. School started for our students yesterday, but a storm warning was issued in the middle of first period for nightime students. Second and third periods cancelled, students went home. On September 1 I had two meetings to attend.
