Today, I watched the movie at the class. I think watching movies is very useful for learning English. I decided to go to the movies a few times in a week. I also decided to read newspaper. Because I was very tired today, I went back home early. I ate big salad for lunch and dropped in accessory shop. I bought some cute pendants. At home, I played the piano after the long time. I also watched TV. American TV programs are very strange for me. But, it was interesting. After the dinner, I taught Joyce how to use Origami. I might go to the movie tomorrow. I heard “ Road of the Ring” and “Chicago” is interesting.

Today, I went to the movies after class. The title is “Bowling for Columbine”. It was the documentary movie about Columbine high school shooting murder. According to the movie, in America, more than the gun killed 10000 people, whereas less than 40 people were killed in Japan. I was surprised that there was also a gun murder in elementary school. The movie referred as 9/11terrorism. After the terrorism, a lot of American became to have gun with them. I felt scare. But, I think this movie includes little prejudice in black people and other country. I consider gun control is very important in America. Although it was such a serious movie, I was very glad to see because I could almost understand the story and I could learn about American history. I would like to participate in next school activity. Tomorrow, I might go to SF to see some shops. I am fond of SF very much.

We have to make a presentation on Friday. The theme is “Typhoon”. We need to use Internet and investigate. It is very difficult for me to explain something in English. After class, Asuka and myself went to SF to go shopping. We met our teacher at Bart and he showed us some good places to go. First, we went to underground of Meicy’s and ate big grilled chicken and salad at food court. It was very nice but too big for me. Then, we went to upstairs and find jeans. I think SF is so big that we can’t visit the entire place at once. We should visit again and again. We also ate ice cream. I am fond of ice cream. There we met some people whom we went to Yosemite National Park with. We were both surprised. Tomorrow, I will go to beads shop with Joyce, because she promised to show me how to make a necklace. I would like to make a cute necklace.

In class, we prepared for the tomorrow presentation. I searched for Typhoon Kirogi, which struck Tokyo in July 2000. After school, I was invited to home party, because tree of my classmates were staying same host family, and they will leave tomorrow. But, unfortunately, I promised with Joyce to go out for dinner, so I could not go. It was so sad. But, Joyce took me to Bead shop and I could buy some beautiful beads. I think I will be able to make a very cute necklace from them. After that, we went to Mexican restaurant. It was very crowded and I was very much satisfied. I ate too much today. I also bought two nice jeans at outlet store. At night, Joyce helped me searching for information about typhoon. I could get useful information with Internet. I also searched Internet café. I wish I could send pictures with E-mail.

Today, I had a presentation about Typhoon. We practiced pronunciation. We yelled some words to the partner who was sitting far from us. It looked like very strange exercise. I yelled as far as I could. And after that, we practiced singing a song. My teacher, Joanna, played the guitar and we sang “Irene”, because one student whose name is “Irene” left school today. I took a picture with her. In second class, we had a party at lobby. We ate taco, cheese and donuts. And we sang a song in front of all the students and teachers. It was a fun. In the afternoon, we went to Japan town, SF. We saw “5jyuu-no-tou” and went to Kinokuniya shop. I bought Kiribosidaikon and Nattou. I like those of things very much. We talked about to hold a Japanese food party someday. We promised to meet at 7:30 AM tomorrow. We are going to rent a bicycle and go to Sausalito. According to the weather forecast, it will be fine tomorrow. I expect to be a fine day tomorrow.

I left home at6: 30 in the morning, because we planed to go trough Golden Gate Bridge before noon. We went to Fisherman’s Warf by cable car. We felt refreshed in the cool air. Also we got a beautiful landscape. We rented a bicycle and went to Fort Point. On our way, we bought sunglass because it was so fine day and sun shined strongly. We stopped Palace. It was a big and beautiful palace. We could see a swan there. A lot of people were jogging or cycling at the park. We went trough a steep slope. I was afraid that I could go through such a steep road. But I rented a mountain bicycle so that I could go through smoothly. We reached Golden Gate Bridge around 11 am. We could see a lot of yachts in the see. We went along the shore in Sausalito and arrived at down town. And then, we ate Egg Benedict at restaurant, where I could see a sea. It was so beautiful. Oh, I met a parrot man. He was a street performer. The parrot perched my shoulder and we kissed each other. My friends took a picture of me. I also saw a big kaleidoscope. After that, we walked around the city. Sausalito is a small but cute town. Many houses were built on the hill. We went back SF by ferry with bicycle. On the ferry, I could see a lot of seagulls. They went after the ship. At Fisherman’s Warf, I could see some bands that made a good music. Whenever we go to Fisherman’s Warf, we can always watch different kinds of street performing. It was so interesting. At SF, we went to Embarcadero Center, which was a very big shopping mole I had never seen. There we could see very tall skyscrapers. I think it would be very crowded in weekdays, because a lot of salary men would come there for lunch. I was very exhausted today, but I had a nice day. I was able to see a lot of place in SF. I would like to visit China town, Golden Gate Park, and North Beach. I heard that we could see SF modern art museum for free next Tuesday. So I will go after school. I was told from Joyce that I got a letter. It was from Yoko. It was a cute post card. I like it very much so that I keep it on my desk. Anyway, I am sleepy sow. I might sleep well tonight.

Today is also very beautiful day. First, we dropped at Sara’s house in Santa Cruz. On our way, I saw sea and mountain. Her house is like a community house. She lives with her 4 friends. I met three of her friends. There were a lot of posters and arts on the wall. There shared the kitchen, living room, and bathroom. That was what I imagined like to be. It is entirely American school life. Next, we went to University of California, Santa Cruz where Sara goes to now. It was a very big university like a park or forest. It looked like a Yosemite National Park. There were 9 colleges and each college has their unique dormitories. We walked around a clump of trees. We could see a sea from the hill. I have never seen such a beautiful university like this. I was so surprised. Joyce said it was the most beautiful university in California. I agree with her. Near the campus, there was a Santa Cruz downtown. There was a very cute street and we ate a sandwich at café with Sara. I could take a picture with her. In Santa Cruz, there is a nice amusement park and beach near the university. I wish I could go there. Next, Joyce took me to San Jose. I could see a Silicon Valley. We visited Stanford University. It was also a big university. I bought some Stanford goods at the store. In Stanford University, I went up Hoover Tower, which is a symbol of Stanford University. Because it was such a fine day, I could see SF city and Berkeley from the tower. What a beautiful landscape it was. I felt the clouds near my hand. After that, we went to University Avenue, which looked like Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley. I could also see a lot of big houses around there. I thought rich people live Palo Alto. We went to Stanford Shopping Center. Joyce said it has become much more bigger than when it was 20years ago. I took a lot of pictures today. I could visit many places. I think south California is very beautiful place, because sun shines strongly and the color of sky is almost blue. I want to visit again.
