"Lovely dog forever" Aug 29, 2005 Japanese version is not available.

My dog passed away. But I was happy to live with him for 13 years.

What to do after that

One of my family found he wasn't breathing at night.
Then we searched Funeral Company for pet near my house on the internet. First of all, we decided to bury his body in a garden. But we didn't do that. Because we realized that it's impossible to dig such a big hole for him from now on... We should have dug it in advance.
Then we found a Funeral Company. I guess Buddhist monk owns this company.
They have many services and we can arrange it as we want. For example, cremate a dead body, arrange a funeral, give him a Buddhist name, give us a grave and so on. Of course they aren't free.
We called the company (24 hours open) and asked them to only cremate his dead body. And we confirmed him "Do you really take back my dog's bone?". We are afraid of mix-up or cheating! How can we know if it is really his bone?
Then we put ice on his body and kept it until they come to our house to pick him up in tomorrow morning.

Next morning we had to put him in a box. Because the company asked us it for carryout by car last night. But Siberian Husky is not so small. We struggled to find proper size of box for him.

Toshiba HDD Recorder's box that I just bought. But he was much bigger than the recorder. This couldn't match.

This is a cardboard case for clothes. It is very convenient to put and draw him when I want to see him again. But it was too small again.

Finally we found a box (510x770x300) that was being used to keep a suitcase.

He was still cute even if he has already died.

Kept him in a cool room with ice.

The company staff came. We carried him to his car.

Good bye forever!

Hi, I'm back again!

As a bone... The company took back his bone 6 hours later. This box has a white jar that contains his burned bone. His head and main parts of bone in it are aligned carefully and facing toward front side of this box.

The company picked his body then went to a crematorium to burn it. And he delivered the bone to our house.

This company gave us his dogtooth and nail in each plastic case, other bones in the jar, certification of his cremation and his photos in a crematorium. Whole service cost us 43000yen (379dollar). We'll bury his bone in a ground soon.

Then we called a doctor who often used to take care him to tell her his death, public health department to delete his name from registration (It's like a certificate of residence for human. Control dogs to give them medicine for canine madness is very important!) and send his pedigree paper to an association.

Pedigree paper is saying that he is really Siberian Husky. There is a family tree. I can see his real name "Castle" on it. I didn't know it...

I love dog but I won't have another dog for a long time.
